The text was an extract from A Quiet Place. The film makers wanted to show that the town was desolated, and the streets were quiet and empty, they also wanted to show that the characters (the family) were alone and only had eachother.
Paragraph
The town is shown to be desolated and barren. The sounds played were only the wind blowing, leaves rustling and newspaper/posters on walls and poles rustling because of the wind; It tells the audience that other than those sounds there is absolutely nothing in the streets (e.g. people and animals). The camera angles, like longshots and extreme longshots, of the environment and the characters (the only few people present in the town) makes the audience feel like the town is huge yet so empty, and makes the character look small and alone in it. There was also the camera movement trucking, it followed the youngest child (one of the characters) out of the store, and it shows the empty and barren environment around him as he walks. The messy and unmaintained condition of the store that the characters were in shows signs of abandoment and neglect, implying either that no one has been there for a long time or that the few who do visit the store never takes care of the store, and just loots the stuff from it.

Here's a video i made experimenting with different camera angles + movement
Description :
static / long shot : the long shots shown throughout the video makes it so that the audience can see there is nothing there with the subject (Sharon), or so it seems. it makes the audience feel that there's no one or nothing else besides Sharon, so the long shots would get the audience to feel like something IS there, it just isn't visible.
static / medium shot : medium shot is used here to show more of what the character is doing, in here we can see the character is searching for something but keeps looking looking back.
the change from long shot to medium shot then long shot again is to show what the character is looking at and it makes us feel curious and uneasy because the character looks paranoid although as we can see there is nothing visible there. It makes us question if the character is imagining things or is the character actually seeing things.
long shot to close up / zoom in : starting from static to zoom in it looks like something is moving close to the character, the zoom in is used to make it seem like something is following her from behind, then it is quickly cut off and we get a medium shot & static again which shows the character’s point of view which is nothing. In the sudden switch from zoom in to static and the camera movement it makes the audience feel paranoid and the audience build up to expect a jumpscare of sorts, only to find nothing
